First SA200 image

It doesn't look much, but is the first light for my SA200 in my filter wheel. This is Regulus. I don't think it is particularly good, but does anyone have an idea of how to make this better? It looks out of focus, or not the right distance away from the sensor (or something :) ).

Thanks

Matt

HI Matt,

Yes I can see some nice sharp Balmer lines in the violet but  it does look rather wooly in the central region where H beta/gamma should be obvious. Perhaps the correction of the 80ED is not spot on. I suggest shifting the optimum focus towards the central region where the correction should be good, bringing H beta/gamma lines into sharp focus. You may then get some fishtailing in the violet though from chromatism so you might have to compromise a bit.

Cheers

Robin
