Scope Rings Advice

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for some good quality scope rings for mounting my Skywatcher Equinox 80

I was thinking of the Williams Optics 90mm CNC scope rings and an ADM Losmandy 7" dovetail bar

Are there any other options?

Thanks

Darren

Anyone?

I can't seem to find many alternatives online how have others done this as the foot that comes with the Equinox 80 doesn't seem substantial enough

Hi, Darren,

I also have an 80mm Equinox.

Telescope House sell a set of Revelation rings similar to the WO ones you mention. I think they are a little cheaper, but not really much in it. I did originally get a set of the SW rings from FLO. They are relatively thin, but actually hold the scope perfectly adequately.

The WO and revelation rings also have drill holes on the top, so it would be a simple matter if you wanted to install a second scope on top.

If you are not so worried about the costs, then either the Revelation or the WO will be strong and last forever.

Hope this helps.

Gordon.
