Hi

My name is Allan and i live in Guernsey in the Channel Islands, I have had a telescope for about 18 months, I have started astro-photography (when the sky is clear) i am having some success but need to improve, hopefully I will be able to learn better techniques through the forums which will improve my photography.

My telescope is an RC 8" on a HEQ6 mount and the camera is an  EOS 1100D which has had both the filters removed.

Hi Allan and welcome to SGL, the 8" RC is a nice size scope, help from the forums would come in the guise of a copy of Steve Richards book "Making Every Photon Count" see FLO top of page, the book probably adorns the bookshelves of most of our imaging fraternity, enjoy your photography
