Really low in the south from here. Very easy and bright, picked it up in Hydra last night in a 4" achro. Just so non stellar and does the disappearing trick. Responds very well about x100.

It was lovely to see Antares in Scorpius, Libra and Saturn up early this morning as it got light. Must get up earlier,

The ghost of Jupiter is one of those objects too few people are aware about. It is a lovely planetary, and like Jupiter is easily resolved in my 15x70 bins. In fact, it is a bit easier, due to the lack of glare. My best sighting of it has been from Austria, where it was 6-7° higher in the sky than back home.
