Can you record video using APT?

 I thought I would try to get in to a bit of imaging and wondered if its possible to record video with my canon 550d using APT.

I don't think so, but you can download it for free, so give it a go.

I'm not sure about the 550d, but I have the 1100d and no you can't. You can set it up to take lots of pictures which you can then turn into a video in PIPP (again, free software) and then process it that way. There is a HD video option if you pay for APT, but I can't get that to work properly.

No, APT doesn't support that, I'm afraid. I'm sure there must other software around that does.

The eos utilities allows video recording and there is some free software eos_movrec which does the same, I am not sure but believe backyard eos has the option too.
