Best binos...

Recommended Posts

I know this has probably been done a million times, but it saves me going through every post...

I'm thinking of buying some binos, nothing spectacular, just a grab and go so I don't have to set up my scope every time I want to go out.

I'm going to budget around £100 but will up that for the right set.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I have tried many different sizes of binoculars (all porro pism style) 8x42, 7x50, 10x50, 20x60, 15x70 and 20x80 and quite honestly the size is not as important as the quality. My best pair so far have been a £200 pair of 10x50 william optics ed binoculars. I would recommend them. 10x50 is optimal for hand holding and light grasp plus I see more with these than budget 20x80s.

10x might be too much magnification to start out with; there are a lot of men who have a difficult time hand holding 10x binoculars.

I can hold them fine I just have super shakey hands, I even have a hard time holding 7x35's still. I always use a tri-pod, makes it much easier and more enjoyable. I have a 70" tri-pod with pistol grip head which is just plain awesome.
