bad hyperion 2 eyepieces

has anyone had problems with the 5mm hyperion eyepiece mine seems to be less contrasty maybe light scatter compared to my 6mm tmb planetary eyepiece

They do not like "fast" scopes and the 200P if f/5 is too fast, if the f/6 variant then they just about work.

My 5mm Hyperion only gets used very occasionally so it might just be the conditions aren't suitable. I have the solid tube 200P dob, which is F6, and have found Hyperions to be a good match, at least for my eyes.

240x magnification in the 200p isn't going to be an eye popping contrast fest. It's only an 8" scope and that extra 40x mag over the 6mm makes a surprising difference under UK skies. There will be nights and subjects when it sings, so keep the faith!
