The skylink is an accessory for a GoTo system.

Celestron sold a low-priced system with built-in Starsense. That might be the kind of thing you are looking for.  I think it's called a StarProdigy or some such name. I'm not sure if they sold it in the UK - I have the impression they weren't very popular.

IT IS AROUND 240£ BRAND NEW.

The paradox, this is a more logical. 

The orientation it is on the main scope,  not  on finder scope !

The tracking has more chance to be eficient.
