Mount for Skywatcher Heritage 130p

Hi

I think the 130p is a brilliant first scope but having to place on a table everywhere I go is beginning to bug me.

I heard you mount the 130p to a  Skywatcher AZ4 Alt-Az Mount, Vixen Mini Porta ETC.

If I purchase any of these two mounts would I need any additional accessories like the dovetail plates.

As I can see I should be able to use the dovetail bar that is already attached to the side of scope and this just slides on to the side of one of the two mounts above ? of  would I need one of these

Hi and welcome to SGL.

The Heritage 130p dovetail bar that is already fixed to the tube will directly attach to the AZ4 or the Vixen Porta.

You won't need the accessory in your link.

Hi there, the Vixen Mini Porta will not be up to the task, the AZ4 is your best (and only) option.

I've used my Heritage 130p in the aluminium legged AZ4. It's lovely and solid. To be honest, it's probably over-mounting the scope - I mean, the tripod is way more expensive - but it can be used for upgrades too.
