6:1 gears from a Rs. 50 Manual food blender.

In a severe crunch I used the gears from an old Manual-Blender.

The large one has 72 teeth and the small gear has 12t. So a 6:1 ratio.

For the Astro Barn door tracker we "reverse" the drive of the gears from The blender.

Here I used the small 12t gear at 5rpm. to drive the 72t gear at 1rpm.

PS. I used the good blender from my mom's kitchen and got her a new one for Rs. 40. That's less than a dollar for 2+1 gears and their axles,  gears are tough plastic they are meant to drive a heavy load.

Hi

Why not add your reply to the previous relevant thread you started then the post update would make more sense with the previous history available to read.

I am enjoying your updates but they are each a single new post. So I can't relate it to your previous endeavor to see progress.
