Picked up an adaptor to attach a point and shoot camera to our scope

like this one:

Not had much opportunity to use yet but, as it comes with no instructions, I wonder how folks get the best from it - indeed how do oyu even set the thing up?

I use a canon G11 series with mine. It works but the quality could be a bit better. First mount the camera to it.My camera has a zoom lens and as to not get a wide angle shot i zoom the lens out and then lock it down Get it  installed securely on the eyepiece and with live view on center the cameras lens forward and back ward, side to side of the telescope's eyepiece  till you have  the least amount of vignetting as seen on the screen. Careful of using the zoom on the camera or the camera's lens may make contact with the eyepiece. Some flexing may accrue. To center the camera better with the mount and in turn the eyepiece I had to use very small bungee cables.
