EQ2 RA Drive

Hi all, just wondered if anyone has any experience with the RA drives for EQ2 mounts. I can't stretch mu budget to a goto mount atm but want to be able to track to a certain extend and wondered if these actually work or not.

yes it works for visual its not great for photography though
