Hi all

i`m Steve from Wolverhampton.

New to astronomy after GF got me a telescope for christmass.

Celestron astromaster 130 on CG-3 mount with motor drive.

I have moded the MD to work off an AA battery pack or 9 volt mains transformer

I have yet to try this mod out due to clouds pretty much evry night since Christmas. Luckily i talked my GF into "testing" it out before christmas lol.

My first mission is to get some constelation shots with camera piggybacked on the scope

Welcome Steve.

We have not had many fine nights since Christmas but if the clouds break there is the moon and Jupiter is nice and bright and easy to find left of Orion up from Sirius

Have fun, Jeff.

Greetings and salutations,

I joined this forum last week and everyone on here are brilliant!  I've read some excellent threads and found people to be very very helpful!

You have the same scope setup as me! minus the mains adapter mod!

What eyepieces do you have?
