7% Moon

Thought I would try and catch the moon last night while it was still around, seeing was absolutely shameful however but I had a go anyway.

This is an 8 panel mosaic and it is alright but I am having a load of trouble trying to get the background and even colour so there are all sorts of gradients in there. If anyone has a good method to even it out than I'm all ears.

Still a nice detailed shot. When I get back to work (at home with flu at the moment), I might try a few tricks

I was surprised considering the seeing, Venus was totally indistinguishable as a planet, I guess it's the time of day at sun set that isn't the best.

The pic looks good in Photoshop but as soon as it takes any compression you can really see all the blemishes. Clone stamp was my idea but I think I made it worse.

Fabulous image, Jarrod. Think I prefer the monochrome treatment; something very evocative about it. Contrast's just about right, too.

I was attracted by this thread by the title; I do like seeing images of the New Moon.
