Saturday 17th solar

It certainly was chilly in the bedroom on Saturday. Here are a few from the PST's and DMK41. The Sun was incredibly beautiful on Saturday with lots of filaments and prominences.

Craig, that is easy, at the moment through the window the seeing is pretty shaky so with the DMK41 I am taking 1500 frames and stacking the best 5% in Autostakkert 2. I then take this TIF file into Registax and apply the last slider to point 15. I then take this file into Photoshop CS5 and apply Smart Sharpen. I set it to Lens Blur and the top slider to 400. Then add the sharpen to 0.4 pix. This is enough for my images. I then apply brightness and contrast to taste. It takes about 5 minutes in total.

Do remember that these settings will vary for camera type, magnification, filter type, seeing, focus etc. This will only work for you if you have a PST and DMK41 at prime focus
