Hi All,

After becoming a daily visitor to the forums I have decided to join and say hi!

It was easy to see that this place is a wealth of knowledge so am sure that I will reach out with some (probably basic) questions, sorry about that.

I recently started my journey with a basic 70/700 Bresser that I got as a present. Still learning the ropes but already looking at my next option.

After reading a number of posts I am currently eyeing the Newtonians (8-10''). Astrophotography is something i'd love to be able to do with the equipment as well.

I've attached my first photo that was taken with an olympus, pointed at the sky.

Thanks for signing up Kryfo.

Nice wide field image of Orion you've posted here.

I'm quite a fan of the wide shots of the sky, they are not as demanding as 

the Deeper Sky captures, which do demand greater care in guiding, and is a bit more

expensive to equip ones self for. That is not to say care isn't necessary for the wider field imagery, of course that requires care and

planning too.

As James said, lots of assistance/ help is here on the forum, all you need do 

is ask, and you will be deluged with answers  :grin:.
