Thanks David, and yes I did use photoshop.

I stacked the different exposures in separate groups and the stacked the groups. I only stretched the longest exposure group. Taken together, this achieved the large dynamic range.

The rest was in photoshop.

- adjust red, green and blue levels of the background to give me a neutral colour balance in the shadows.

- adjust RGB level to further bring out the midtones

- and then a little bit of noise reduction and gentle sharpening

Cheers Peter. I'm glad you liked the frame - some don't for some reason. I started framing my images ages ago as it overcomes the issue of uncertain and often ugly page backgrounds that don't suit every image and often clash.
