Raspberry Pi Safari

Sorry if this has been posted before.

I found this article on the web http://astroland.funxiun.com/remote-control-your-goto-telescope-mount-using-a-raspberry-pi-and-skysafari/ about using a Raspberry Pi as the wireless receiver for Sky Safari operating a GOTO scope.

I followed the instructions in the article and it works perfectly using Sky Safari Pro on either my phone or tablet both running Android, with everything comunicating on my home WiFi. Great for my back garden observing.

Very interesting, so if I have this correct, the PI takes the place if the £150 unit that would normally plug into the handset rs232 port?

So how much does it cost to build?
