Well I think I got it after faffing about, its  a rubbish picture but considering I couldnt even see it without binos and totally messed up the ISO plus the light pollution im over the moon

Dont think that is lovejoy Q2.

Focus looks off, so it may be a planet.

Lovejoy is close to Plaides at the moment - about 2 degree west.

It's got a tail, I'm sure of it! Overexposed and too much on the highlights, but I would say that I is Lovejoy ( use averted vision on the first bright star directly above it)

You're right.

my pic came out quite similar.

I extended my exposure which gave me a better colour, but made my comet into a livid green cigar lol
