My first go at a comet

Caught this last night, here's my first go at a comet - C/2014 Q2 Lovejoy. Ironically, my 8" astrograph has been giving me all kinds of problems, swapped all the imaging gear to my trusty AWB OneSky which gave far better results

Lovely pic,is that a hint of a tail below it or just reflections.

Fantastic 1st comet image it does look like a hint of a tail.

thanks! yeah it's a bit of tail, I took some longer exposures that show it better, but the exposure time made the nucleus look like a catapillar, so I ditched them

Had another go at Lovejoy, this time on my 8" Astrograph

I've been having a lot of star distortion problems with the astrograph, was spending the night trying to work through them... took a few 2 minute unguided subs before I packed all the gear. High ISO noise is a bit more than I'm used to, I forgot to change it back to my normal settings. Processing isn't the prettiest either, still trying to figure out how to bring the details out in comets! Thanks for looking!
