a first trial for a star trail and animation

Canon EOS 1100d, 18 mm, f3.5, ISO 100, 60 sec exposure. (full moon). Using starstax and then PIPP

I really like polar star trail shots. Actually I like all star trail shots.

The animation effect is very good, must work out how to do that myself. It's very effective

Have you tried a celestial equator star trail shot. You can get the stars curving in opposite directions - very strange to see

That is a really nice result and something I don't think I have seen before.

When you create the animated GIF in PIPP (I assume that is what you did) you can get the animation to repeat by enabling this option:

Animation Options Tab->Complete Sequence Repeat->Repeat All Frames In Sequence
