Collins Gem Stars

I do not know why but I just like star atlases, big, small, detailed, simple, it does not matter.

I remember years ago having a copy of a Collins book on stars, long since lost. I thought this would be the replacement, but no it is different.

This really is a pocket book and with the pedigree of Ian Ridpath and illustrations by Wil Tirrion you know it is going to be good.

Clear detailed star maps down to mag 6 and extended maps for areas like the Hyades, Pleiades, Orion's Sword etc. Very nice explanations of the constellations and objects of interest in them. 256 pages packed with detail. This is going in my G&G OTA case as it is very neat and very small. 10/10 at 5 quid.
