Heres my best attempts at M51 with the CANON 300D and Star Travel 102 refractor..

30x30 secs stacked in registax editted in photoshop CS.

i think you have done well to get that one James , not always an easy target , but you have some excellent detail in the oputer arms , a very nice widefield image

Plan on getting the Toucam Pro on this soon for a close up image , i found it needs plenty of frames to stack this one.

Nice one James, I spent ages on Saturday trying to find this. Can a Toucam really pick it up?

Hi Martin,

Thanks for your comment, you can use a Toucam Pro SC mate but alas the Toucam Pro wont be able to pick it up iam affraid. Even with the Toucam Pro SC it's gonna be a tough one prob need exposures of 30 secs at the very least.
