Hi Danny and welcome back to Astronomy. Interesting choice the EQ6 ALT/AZ. From Steve Richards 1st review report, there have been some welcome upgrades in practical use and design, including the fact that you can now manually move the scope without upsetting the tracking, one reason why a few years back, I eventually invested in a Losmandy for my manual observations
