The Binocular Sky Newsletter, January 2015

Recommended Posts

The Binocular Sky Newsletter for January 2015 is now published.

In addition to the usual overview of DSOs, variable and double stars, lunar occultations and binocular planets, in this month's issue we also have:
* Comet C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy)
* An appulse of Mars and Neptune

To grab your (free!) copy, head on over to http://binocularsky.com/ and click on the Newsletter tab.

Seems the gremlins got into the PDF conversion process and contrived to omit the "nocular" from the first line of the greeting in the newsletter! Thanks to those who (far too gleefully, IMO! :grin: )  pointed it out.

If it concerns you, I've now posted a corrected version.

I've also discovered the reason for the odd link in the initial post: I did a cut-and-paste from the Binocular Sky Facebook page and hadn't realised that it modded the link into Facebook (tracking?) format. Proper (& definitely non-tracking!) link is http://binocularsky.com/

If you do find any other glitches, please do let me know.

Many thanks Steve, looking forward to hopefully catching a glimpse of Comet Lovejoy in the next couple of weeks, I have been unsuccessful so far. Mist cloud, then cloud and mist, then when it clears a bright moon! Fingers crossed. Happy new year to you.
