Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Real name is Harry.

Many years ago (early '70s) made first Newt - 6" self-made mirror (anyone make mirrors now: no?- shame on you!), eq. mount etc courtesy of employer at the time (was an engineering apprentice).

First wife binned the lot soon after divorce before I could collect it - such is life.

Have had an 8" Celestron Dobbie cheapie for the last few years, but second lot of kids find it difficult to guide. (See questions re modern kit in other thread heading)

Live not far from Kielder (30m) in a quite dark sky - apart from Eastwards towards N/Castle!

Btw - nice forum with nice peeps..

Added: Forgot to mention that I have joined the SGL Seti group - 15500+ credits and now have 3 (creaky) pc's on the job. Wife's laptop off limits unfortunately but working on that...

Cheers

Harrry

Welcome Harry,

I guess thats 30 miles not metres ? Either way I envy your local countryside and your night skies.

Welcome to SGL Harry. You must live near my home town, Carlisle.

Hope you enjoy it here, it's a great forum.

Ron.
