Anyone see this curious meteors?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

On the night of Friday 14/11/2014 between 11:00-12:00 from Wolverhampton, UK,  I was observing the Leonids looking North-East. I saw a long meteor, possibly the longest one I have seen. I estimate it to be 25 degrees in angular length. It was more over to my zenith going from East to West. I was interesting because it varied its brightness has it 'streaked' across.

Did anyone see this?

I didn't see it, but just looked at the radio data I've been collecting to see if there was a lot of activity at this time. There wasn't much, though two hours later there was a really prolonged bit of activity:

Hi,

Sorry I meant Friday 14th Nov 2014 not the 15th. My sincere apologies on the date.

I looked at my data for 14th; nothing odd, typical random activity of 6 or so events per hour.

Date of sighting changed at the request of the Poster to Friday 14th Nov, please note. The 15th Nov was entered in error.

Alan.
