In response to the synscan v3.36 upgrade thread, i wondered about PPEC on the AZEQ6.

Does it require the encoders to be switched on for this to work? Will it still work if the mount is used with the encoders switched off, but then subsequently switched back on.

Is the software in the handset clever enough to differentiate the presumed constant drift due to polar mis-alignment compared to the true intermittent periodic errors?
