skywatcher 150pds vs Altair 150 ss

Hi Just looking to buy a scope, torn between two;

if you intend to put a dslr on the end I would go for the skywatcher its also a few pound cheaper at flo

which mount would you like it on and why?

I'd probably go for the GSO as the focuser is slightly better quality. Optically I don't think there is that much in it at this price range. Even the accessories are identical.

I've owned both and imaged with both. I also think the GSO focuser has the edge but I prefer the skywatcher mirror cell, it just felt a bit better to collimate. Neither of these things are deal breakers in my opinion they are both good scopes, just pick the one you like the look of best
