Great 2.5 hour Jupiter observation

Recommended Posts

Had to battle with thin drifting clouds but Jupiter looked fantastic tonight. Could easily make out the color bands all across the disk and the big 4 moons popped tonight. Even watched the two smaller moons superimpose over one another as the night went on. Observed through a 9.25 SCT.

One of the truely satisfying and dynamic sights in astronomy.

Strangely, a bit of thin cloud seems to act as a great anti glare filter.
