Here is second image of the aurora taken last march. the green colour is not unusual, it is frequent at low level activity, for those further south, you may only see the more spectacular activty, when the sun is more active For more info, have a look at the article in the October 2005 issue of the Sky at Nigth magazine, page 62.

The exposure details are as the other image, 30 sec at f3.5, 18mm focal length, ISO 1000
