Went to bed at gone 6, then had a customer call me at 9:30!

The server is:

-Dell R200

-2GB Memory (can be upgraded easily to 4GB+ should we ever need it)

-Dual Core Xeon 3065 @ 2.33GHZ

-2 x 500GB Drives, one for backup

So far the loads have been tiny compared to our old shared hosting server, the loads currently are: 0.05 0.13 0.09, on our old server they could typically be above 5-6, sometimes even 100+!

Grant you're a star for the hours. That's quite a monster machine there, what OS is running, the CPU numbers indicate some unix flavour, I'd guess at a linux.

Shared hosting is OK for smaller sites but with the growth of SGL loads were always going to be a problem sooner or later.

Have you thought about hosting a IRC server so we can have live chat? Would be awsome if we could have that
