Hitching to M57

Recommended Posts

I am looking at M57 at the moment and was wondering if any of you out there with an airtight car, with a supply of oxygen to last a journey of 6-7000ly (so we can get back...right!) and has Earth escape velocity, could give me a lift so I can get a closer look please?

You mean it's clear where you are? Oh, you are in France...  :D

Don't let that fool you, it is the first clear night I have had since July!

Unfortunately Mike Mercury and Supercar are away on a mission right now, but I believe Fireball XL5 is returning imminently from dropping Zoony off at the ISS (animal testing in zero grav apparently)....

Tickets available via Gerry Anderson Promotions :D

Doing the maths, if you travel at 99.9999999994324% of the speed of light, then relativistic time compression would shorten the one-way journey of 2300 LY to approximately 2 days.

I'll give you a lift if you go halvsies on the antimatter fuel.

Not possible. Even with antimatter.

Maybe we could get there in a sense of humour powered vehicle?

no -_- you need a machine that can bend space sufficiently enough between you and M57 so that the apparent distance is negligible, then you wont even have to move, you can just bring M57 right to you.

That is no fun, I want impossible space & time travel...If Dr Who can do it so can I.
