Hi all. 

I thought it polite to say hi and introduce myself.

I have been a keen backyard astronomer for several years, completed an astronomy course at Uni many moons ago (no pun!) and have have various scopes and enjoy visual astronomy and various projects and generally peering into the depths. 

I currently use a small williams optics Zenithstar and use Celestron x-cel eyepieces which is lovely little set-up in my lucky darksite at home. I am planning to get a 10" Dob when I figure out where to house it!

Hope to meet and chat with you in the forums.

Someone from Plymouth was asking about dark areas within reach of Plymouth.

I expect you will get asked for a few suggestions.

Although a long way off now I used to know the Yelverton area, that was suitably dark.

Also knew The Elephants Nest at Mary Tavy. :grin: :grin: :grin:
