Knight of Clear Skies

Radical New Solar System Model

Recommended Posts

Came across this in St Alban's cathedral on Saturday, which made me smile.

I have some doubts concerning its technical accuracy (historically, the church has had some issues with this) but you can't question its charm. I want to live in a solar system with spangles!

Unfortunately Jupiter's high albedo against a dim background has caused it to become blown out, wish I'd thought to try my in-camera HDR function. Astrophotography is a tricky business....

To get five planets in one shot while still showing surface detail is something most planetary imagers can only dream of!

Well done ;D

Slightly off topic but I was the first baby to be baptised in what was then the new replacement font some 73 years ago.

I get random sparkly bits on my images too. I better check for tinsel and string! ;)
