Clubs or groups

I need to join a club or group near the pontypool area !

Been into astronomy since I was a kid but never got the time through working long hours , got a new job and plenty of free days and nights to start looking at the heavens .

I 1st got myself a telescope last year and just upgraded it but need "HELP" to use it . ( I can't get the hang of aligning it ) .

Please could some one give me details of any local club or groups in my area who could help .

There is a section for Wales within the SGL Social section that seem to arrange meeting and gatherings, just not 100% sure where you are in relation to where they gather.

Closest looks like Cardiff, cannot see one at Newport.

Our next South Wales Group Observing Meet will be on Saturday Sept. 20, 2014 at the Blaenavon Site.

At a guess half of them will drive through Pontypool to get to Blaenavon.
