Limited equipment and Southern Skies.

Hi all,

I'm currently down at the Falkland Islands for the next few days with time on my hands. I have limited equipment - my iPhone 5 and a Celestron Mini Mak. How can I get the best out of this limited equipment to get some good views whilst I still can?

afocal is not easy unless you have a very steady hand and try to get it in focus at the same time

Is there anyone in the base workshops that could knock up a holder for the i-phone to fix it to the telescope?
