My wife has watched this series.  I'm not sure who he is or what he does for a living, but I did see a bit of the programme tonight where he visited an astronomer (in Surrey, perhaps?)  who had a full rotating dome observatory built into the roof of his house.

Anyone else see it?

Yep saw that, What a place. Makes my little garden with trees on 2 sides feel so inadequate.

That's what going down through the roof of Summit Tunnel gets you. LOL

saw part of the prog' whilst visiting my old mum, spent the rest of the prog' trying to explain the different requirement to move the roof slot compared with the technicalities of mount tracking requirements.

We gave up and did justice to a bottle of J&B.

(but appropriate in that I have negotiated with EDF to cut down a concrete pylon, rather than remove it.)
