Sun mosaic WL 2014/07/26

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody

here is my latest picture of the whole Sun using a Solar-Continuum-Filter and the TAL100RS achromatic refractor together with an Herschelkeil.

Camera was the QHY5-II CMOS (5.2µm).

The observing conditions wasn't really good but also not really bad.

best regards,

Lovely detail in that. It looks like there's some more active regions winging their way to us too!

Das ist gut!  Or if you are English, 'that is very good.'  A great capture, some lovely detail and welcome to the best place on earth for all things solar.

Hi everybody!

What a nice welcome here!

Thank you all very much for your lovely feedback.

@Alexandra: yes I'm also very happy about the faculae. The solar-continuum does really nice work.

@Robin: yes I'm very happy about this first try capturing the whole sun using video-astronomy techniques.

@Zakalwe: yes there's something coming around. I'm looking forward for another try in better conditions.

Thank you ALL again!

greetings,

Christian
