Celestron CGE and SGPro

Having got so used to EQMOD im a little puzzled on the CGE

After Polar Aligment has been sorted, when turning on the CGE and loading up SGPro do I do an aligment routine via the handset or do I do a plate solve via SGPro?

I have the CGE and it requires GOTO alignment to be done by the handset as far as I'm aware.  The sync feature in some planetarium programmes which works well with Skywatcher etc does not work the Nexstars.  I'm happy to be contradicted, but I tried to plate solve with AstroTort the other night without Nextar alignment and No Go.

I use quick align when i power up, then platesolve after now, seems to work ok.

I'll try that - I was messing the other night and could not get AstroTort to move the mount - the error log said not aligned.
