First attempt at Horsehead and Flame with Ha

Hi all

I got my filters through this morning, all of them unmounted ready for the FLI filter wheel when it arrives, except for a 2" threaded 12nm Ha filter. The sky was clear for a couple of hours before the fog set in so I got things set up and managed 80 minutes of exposure time.

Paramount ME

Starlight Xpress H36

Astronomik 12nm Ha filter

8 x 10 minutes unguided

I wish I could have got more exposure time but with our climate you have to be grateful for what you get.

Very tight image Gordon.

Nice focus, good round stars and the curtain behind the HH is starting to come through.

Just add a few more subs to get a better S/N ratio if you get the chance with the wonderful climate!
