My first M42!

This picture was taken a couple of weeks ago, but it's taken until now for me to be pleased enough to post it. This was my first attempt at 'Drift Alignment' (which is all I had planned to try that evening!). It took me the best part of 3 frustrating hours, but I was able to go up to 45 seconds without any noticeable trails. Hopefully my next attempt will be a little easier, now I know how far to make the necessary adjustments!

Anyways, the pic. M42, 3 x 30 second exposures @ ISO 1600 stacked with Deep Sky Stacker and tweaked in Photoshop. Not as good as most on here, but pleasing enough for my second ever attempt at astrophotography and it actually shows some colour!!! Comments, suggestions and criticisms welcomed!

Nice work, I think with a few more exposures you'd be able to bring out some more of the detail. Not that I'd know because I haven't managed to do that yet.
