California Enhanced

Hi all
i imaged and first posted my California image last september here , however i was playing around with Lightroom 5, and was mucking about with Tones tools, and managed to produce i think anyway a better image

Imaged ngc1499 the California Nebula from home
3 hours ,  4 x 30 mins 4 x 15 mins
QSI583  TV101is at 430mm

I can't remember seeing your first post of this. I'm certainly not going to forget this one. That's a fantastic image. It almost looks 3D!

Wow, I really like that - The detail is superb, you've processed this brilliantly. A top drawer image in my opinion.

Thank you for your positive comments everyone.    I think it looks cool,  a few on another forum suggested it was overcooked, but i think the tweaked contrast nearly makes it 3d

that looks impressive, you should have posted original for comparison, i too did not see the first one.  You say this was

achieved by just tweaking the tones?

Hi Yes, from my original, i just tweaked tones and clarity sliders in Lightroom 5,

Most Californias are a bit soft and fluffy, which is fine, but given a bit more attitude like this it becomes rather more exciting! Mine (with Damian 'Takman') is also on the hard side and some found it a bit much while others liked it. Do your own thing!
