Crescent Moon.

I managed to capture a mosaic of the crescent Moon just before it went below the horizon yesterday. This is a 6-pane Lunar Mosaic, stitched together with Microsoft ICE.

Individual panes were 3000 frames captured with QHY5L-IIc, where I used 10% of the best stacked in AutoStakkert!2, afterwards I wavelet processed them in Registax 6.

It turned out pretty nice, next time I will attempt to barlow my planetary camera & make a huge mosaic with more close-up detail & higher resolution.

Hope you like it!

Thanks guys. :D

I'm looking forward to trying a mega mosaic with my planetary camera barlowed, I had some difficulties with just that, but thinking about it I now know why!

I realise I had been pretty dumb, I wondered why my camera only got 2 FPS when I barlowed my QHY5L-IIc and had set exposure to 500ms and the other sliders to mininum (for mininum noise), but of course 2x 500ms = 1s, so it couldn't possibly be higher than 2 FPS! Haha, I thought my camera was broken at the time, but it turns out I just have to move the other sliders and keep exposure to 30-50ms for maximum fps when I use the barlow, so I'm sure I can work that out in the future. :)
