Leo Triplet - Second go - 11-02-08 - 00.16am - Canon 350 D

Sorry folks just had to have another go at this.

Waited till it was a bit higher in the sky.

14 X 6 mins , 130mm APO at F6 , Canon 350D at 800 ISO.

Used new flat field taken earlier in the evening. Gradient removal tool used.

One problem I find is that images appear brighter when I post them than they do on my laptop screen.

Was it worth it repeating???

Well I like it John, lovely details in all three.

Going to have a go tonight myself with these three... I won't get 6 minute subs though - might try for 3 minutes.

Very nice, the flat has made a world of differance to the result.

My cruddy work monitor isn't showing much difference between the 2 so I'll have to have a look at home. Super detail in all three galaxies. For my taste there's a bit too much red in there

Those look good John. On my laptop screen there's a noticable reduction in noise in the new image. Nice shots!
