It's clearing nicely.....

Went out and set up the tripod in the garden.  Levelled it, pointed it north, got all the other bits out there ready.  Sky looks good, put the mount on.  Fiddle about for a bit, look up, loads of clag rolling in.  Check the met, no good, dismantle the mount, go back for the tripod.  Clearing up again now.  Can see Mars shining bright. Go back in,  get on SGL, moan a bit, put the kettle on, look out of the window, thinking about getting the mount set up again.

Got out again, got my mount aligned, and got a look at Jupiter and moons, just as it faded behind more cloud!  By the time I packed up, the sky was clear again, of course.  Week after next up in Kielder, this newbie's had all the practice he's going to get, hoping for clear, dark skies when I get up there!

Just been out for a nice hour or so with the Genesis. It was lovely and clear when I set up, the clouded over as soon as I was ready. Battled the cloud for a while then it clear nicely for quite a while.

Just panned around the DC, Kemble's Cascade, Caroline's Rose and that general area, very nice too.

Peaked at a few galaxies and now packed up with a cuppa before bed.

Its lovely out there at the moment, just popping in to print out an extra detailed map of Virgo/Leo for some in depth fuzzy hunting and to grab another beer!

PS. Beer is purely for visual acuity, as alcohol dilates the pupils thus letting in more light :-)
