Afocal Almach (Gamma Andromedae) 08/02/08

Just spent superb two hours out t'back with my Intes MK66 mainly on a visual session. Seeing wasn't great so I couldn't really push up the magnification but none the less, this Mak impresses me every time I use it . Anyhoo, I've been meaning to take a snap of Almach for ages, it's a superb colour contrast double star. Sometimes the primary comes up a lot more Orange than it has tonight in the eyepiece but it's still a gorgeous sight. This was taken with ye olde faithful Canon Powershot A610 connected to my Baader Hyperion 13mm (Mag x138) through the Intes on top of my EQ6. Bit of faffing in Photoshop and voila!
