Here's a wee combo of 3 of my best planet shots using an 8" reflector and philips toucam pro. I'm sure more detail could be pulled from my video captures by a more patient man. It's a tough old game lol

Thanks very much mate lately I've been getting vids of Jupiter that have more detail pre stack than earlier efforts but for some reason can get better pics from them, a tad frustrating lol

similar issues

getting better data but my pictures are worse than ones from a month ago

I'm putting it down to conditions as my best shots came on really cold frosty nights in March

but I have to say your pictures are very nice indeed

Thanks mate, you're probably right as mine did too. How long a video do you tend to capture for Jupiter and what frame % do you tend to stack?

on Jupiter I ran 20,000 frames 512 x 440 @ 70 fps
stack best 2 - 4000 depending on quality, the ones in march were 2 - 3000 frames same settings but much more detail and focus
than anything I've managed this month

What camera are you using? That's around 4.7 mins if my calculations are right, does rotation effect it at that length of time?

yeah pretty long exposure
I normally run a lower ROI and get 165 frames per second roughly 2 minutes
thats using the ASI 120MC
