Celestron 8 in SCT's - all take 2 in accessories ??

Hi all. Looking at getting a Celestron 8 in SCT. A C8 possibly or similar, et al. Do they ALL take 2 in accessories such as diagonals, barlows and EP's.

A couple on ABS website at the mo and just wish to confirm.  Older versions may only fit 1.25  kit ?

they will take a 2" diagonal, you can also buy adapters for 2" fittings

They may be supplied with 1.25" diagonals but will upgrade to 2" a worthwhile expense....

I changed my 1.25" visual back to a Baader 2" visual back for SCTs (not the click-lock alas), and it now accepts any 2" accessory. This means my C8 and my 80mm APM refractor both accept the same diagonals, etc.

Thanks guys.  Thtas cleared that up for me.

A secondary question if I may.  Any particular models of C8's to avoid  or obviously look for,  as some may be better than others.

i don`t think so, the older american versions are held in high regard, but the newer models have the xlt coatings and are lighter, not 100% certain if the edge models are worth the extra money never having looked through one yet to compair them but they seem to be slightly better for imaging purposes.

The "Edge" models have a Flattener built in comes at a cost although you're looking at the C8 price wise doesn't seem so bad £775 to £1079 (FLO Prices) the bigger models get a 100% price hike or more  for the "Edge" type, if there are other differences somebody will be along to type them out...
