i was planning on a little session till 12 but cloud came in before i could even think about any DSO'S. at least my oldest Amelia got to have a look at the moon through my new 17.3mm DELOS i guess i will have to wait some more for first light

Amelia loves setting up  the scope bringing out all the bits and pieces. she said dad does the moon really look like that and why has it got all them holes in?  she makes me so proud

I know the feeling...my two-year-old is obsessed with rotating the Dob over and over and giggling at her reflection on the primary....but never collimate when they are around

It's a slippery slope though, just bought a 10" flextube dob to fuel my daughters' aperture fever  - apparently their 6" dob just isn't up to it any more after looking through a big dob
